Multicultural Greek Council’s “Meet the Greeks” BBQ

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) will host a “Meet the Greeks” BBQ today, June 11, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Buckley Field (33rd and Arch Streets). This was previously scheduled for Thursday, May 28, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
This is an opportunity to meet the chapters in the council in a free event open to the University community. The organizations of the MGC include Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Chi Upsilon Sigma Latin sorority, Delta Phi Omega sorority, Delta Sigma Theta sorority, Iota Nu Delta fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Sigma Beta Rho fraternity and Sigma Psi Zeta sorority.
Food, music and games will be provided.

Columbia University Associate Professor Dr. Nikos Scarmeas presents how Greek Diet relates to lower risk for Alzheimer disease.
The Organization of Philhellenic Performing Arts (OPPA) serves Greek coffee before the event.
The speech is followed by Greek live music & dance as well as food.
