I’m not big into fraternity life, but who can resist a luau? I know I can’t.

Apple Pi Welcome Back Luau
Alpha Pi Lambda House (33rd Street and Powelton Avenue)
The Alpha Pi Lambda Fraternity is hosting its first Welcome Back Luau. The event is open to all students on campus, free of cost. The luau will feature a pig roast, great food, good music and games. There will also be a raffle to win an 8 GB iPod.

Free Philadelphia Orchestra Concert for College Students

The Philadelphia Orchestra is performing a free concert for college students at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (260 South Broad Street, Philadelphia), on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at 8 p.m.
Maestro Charles Dutoit will conduct a full program of Saint-Saëns and Berlioz, followed by free food and a performance by The Capitol Years.
Students will need a general admission ticket for entrance and all tickets are “print-at-home.” For more information, visit http://www.philorch.org/performance/9077/2009/09/23/.
