I have a mustache.
Yesterday, someone told me I looked like his old friend, Salvador Dali. I spent a couple minutes talking to this nice old man, mostly because he knew Dali, but also because he appreciated my mustache in a public setting.
This happens a lot. The girl at the register also complimented it and I in return complimented her many, many tattoos.
This morning at Quick Check, my morning trip in which I produce the day’s supply of Red Bull and beef jerky, the clerk at the counter paused to talk about how awesome my mustache was. I half wanted to hurry out of that place, with it’s leaky roof and interesting crowd, but I took those precious seconds and let him know how much fun it is to be fancy.
And that’s whats important in life, being fancy. Promoting what you do. Never miss an opportunity to make an impression on somehow, no matter how much of a rush you are in.
Mustaches make people smile and for recognizing that I have one, I thank you.
