Shakespeare Goes to the Movies

A Conversation about Adaptation with Philly Inquirer Critics Steven Rea and Carrie Rickey on Thursday, May 6, 5-6:30 in the Anthony J. Drexel Picture Gallery (3rd floor of Main Building). Rea will talk about his favorite adaptations among the histories and tragedies; Rickey about her favorites from among the comedies and romances (including such loose updates as 10Things I Hate About You and She’s the Man). They’ll show clips and talk about cinematic adaptation in general. Dr. Paula Marantz Cohen will moderate.

And the important part: Cookies and punch will be served.
