Give the Gift of Life: “Be the Match” Registry The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences: Community Dimension in Medicine class is holding a bone marrow registry drive today, April 12, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in New College Building room 3506 (245 N. 15th Street, Bldg. #5).
Many people suffering from leukemia and other blood-related diseases are in great need of bone marrow transplants. By registering with the National Bone Marrow Foundation, the public can provide them with life-saving bone marrow.
No needles are involved in the event; participants will register to join the National Bone Marrow Registry.
This is a free event and all who are interested in registering or obtaining more information are welcomed. Food will be provided to all who participate.
