F: Interested in joining Circle K?

From the DDD

Circle K Holds First Fall Meeting

Drexel’s chapter of Circle K, an international collegiate service organization, will hold its first meeting of the fall term on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. in Ross Commons room 302 (34th Street and Powelton Avenue).
All students are invited to learn about Circle K and local service opportunities. Free pizza and drinks will be provided. For more information, contact Alexa Karkenny at ajk53@drexel.edu.

Now I know absolutely nothing about this group but a quick google returns this which seems like a pretty decent group (CKI blends community service and leadership training with the opportunity to meet other college students around the world).

F: Welcome Back BBQ with Campus Crusade

From the DDD

Welcome Back BBQ with Campus Crusade
Campus Crusade is hosting a Welcome Back BBQ for all students today, September 21, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. in front of Race Street Residence Hall (34th Street between Powelton Avenue and Race Street) .
Enjoy free food, meet old and new friends and watch live bands perform. For more information, contact Chase Gibson at ckg24@drexel.edu.

Now I know that this group sometimes gets a bad rap, but they have nice BBQs and are a very nice group of people.  I’m going to take a guess and say a Christian Rock band will be performing if anything 😉

Welcome Back!

Welcome all new-comers!  Welcome back seasoned veterans!

Another school year is upon us here at Drexel and with that comes a plethora of free give-aways around campus.  We here at Free Food at Drexel are looking forward to another term of never having to worry “whats for dinner” and we promise to keep you up-to-date about all free food events.  Free Food at Drexel is a student run blog and because of that we ask for your help!  If you see free food or know about free food in advance or if you want to bolster your event let us know and we will advertise it here! Got an event? Tell us about it

All in all, we here at FF@D only are looking to provide our fellow students with knowledge, knowledge about something as important as a free lunch <3

Living an Eco Life: Potting Your Own Plants

and eating your own food!

Thanks again, commuters. Don’t change the date without telling anyone this time! The best part about this event is that you get a plant too.

You have been hearing a lot about how to create a more sustainable environment, well
here is one more opportunity for you to learn more. Try your hand at potting some of
your favorite flowers as we have a FREE Lunch, and hear from Educators from the
Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education about how you can make your impact on
the environment one step at a time.
This great event will take place on Thursday, August 20th from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the
Korman Quad (next to the “stadium
seating”). The rain location will be the Creese Lobby.
For questions or accommodations, please contact CGTSPS at
commuters@drexel.edu or 215‐895‐1328. For more
