Tonight: One.25 Benefit Concert

Alpha Chi Rho will host the One.25 benefit concert for the Alexander-Williamson Endowed Memorial Scholarship tonight, April 23, 2010. A pre-concert party with free food and entertainment will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Buckley Green (33rd and Arch Streets). All are welcome to attend the party.
The concert will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church (2125 Chestnut Street) and will feature up-and-coming acts such as Starting Over, New Liberty, With the Punches, GrindCity and Nobody Yet. Tickets are $10, and a shuttle service will take students to the concert from the University City Main Campus.
The concert benefits the Alexander-Williamson Endowed Memorial Scholarship established in memory of Ian Alexander and John Williamson, who died in a car accident on January 25, 2009.

SPRING JAM!!!


Spring Jam ’10 Featuring N*E*R*D and Kevin Rudolf

Campus Activities Board (CAB) invites the Drexel community to attend this year’s Spring Jam, featuring top-of-the-chart artists N*E*R*D and Kevin Rudolf, on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 4 to 11 p.m. at the Armory (33rd and Cuthbert Streets).
A carnival with pick-up volleyball games, dunk tanks, a mechanical bull, bungee course, combine hosted by Drexel Athletics, free food sponsored by The Good Idea Fund and other activities by various student organizations will begin at 4 p.m.
Following the carnival, CAB will be introduce the top two Drexel Idol contestants, first-place winners of Drexel’s Best Dance Crew and winners of Battle of the Bands, followed by Kevin Rudolf and N*E*R*D.

Coffee Hour: The Drexel Smart House Design*

Students are invited to learn about Drexel’s most innovative in-house laboratory, the Drexel Smart House project, today, February 25, 2010 from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the Creese Student Center conference room B (32nd and Chestnut Streets).
The Drexel Smart House will deliver the home of the future. Innovative interior technology, constant high-tech monitoring and energy-efficient power consumption are only few of the many plus points of this project. Dr. Eugenia Victoria Ellis from the Department of Architecture and Interiors will talk about the project and the activities that her group has been carrying out and how will this project affect the industry and University.

Alpha Sigma Alpha’s Pasta Bakeoff




Alpha Sigma Alpha will hold a “Pasta Bakeoff” and Open House on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alpha Sigma Alpha House (208 N. 34th Street).
Attendees will enjoy free food prepared by the sisters including salad, pasta dishes, bread, dessert and refreshments.
