Drexel Named to Top Ten of Schools Using Twitter

Drexel was named one of the top 10 schools using Twitter among the U.S.News and World Report’s “Top 100 Colleges and Universities,” according to rankings by UniversitiesandColleges.org. To see the rankings, visit http://universitiesandcolleges.org/top-100-colleges-twitter/.
Drexel’s Twitter account was ranked in the top 10 for number of “tweets” per day. A “tweet” is a short message broadcast using micro-blogging site Twitter to users on mobile phones and computers. Twitter users can select to “follow” Drexel’s Twitter updates for the latest University news.

Engineers Without Borders Meeting

Drexel Engineers Without Borders will hold its first chapter meeting of the 2009-10 academic year tonight, October 13, 2009 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the LeBow Engineering Center room 240 (31st and Market Streets).

The meeting will include a recap of the group’s first assessment trip to Jamaica, information about the group’s humanitarian efforts and officer elections.

Students of all majors are invited to attend. Free pizza and beverages will be served. For more information, contact Pooja Gupta at pg62@drexel.edu.

CAA Blood Drive

Giving blood is important and as mooches of the Drexel catering system, and other organizations, and also as humans, I think it is important to give blood to people who need it. Our bodies can make more anyway. And, technically they give you juice and a snack and a STICKER after you donate. DO IT.

Drexel’s CAA Blood Drive Challenge Donor Campaign has begun. The Eighth Annual Blood Drive takes place on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the following times and locations:
